`Leopard' Warney can't change his spots, says his wife Simone

Sept.25: The war of words between former Australian leg spinner Shane Warne and his estranged wife Simone show no signs of abating.

A day after Warne accused Simone of taking advantage of his hard-earned fame to malign him through their personnel differences, Simone described her ex-husband as a "leopard who couldn't change his spots".

According to The Daily Telegraph, relations between Shane and Simone have deteriorated into verbal warfare over his latest alleged new text messaging affair scandal.

The row was triggered by Simone's decision to approach a women's magazine for a paid interview where she accused him of another case of adultery.

The interview came as Warne flew back to Australia from London last night for a pre-organised family meeting where he and Simone had intended to tell their young children their marriage was officially over.

The cricket legend yesterday spoke out against his ex-wife's claims in a rare public rebuke of the mother of his children.

Simone Callahan, who now goes by her maiden name, told New Idea that Warne mistakenly sent her a text message which was intended for a woman with whom he was having an affair in England.

Simone was in Melbourne and Warne in the UK when he sent her a text saying: "Hey beautiful, I'm just talking to my kids, the back door's open."

Callahan said she sent a message back blasting Warne: "You loser, you sent the message to the wrong person."
Warne hit back yesterday, denying an affair, confirming the couple had split in early August.

He attacked the magazine interview, saying that it wa not based on facts.

Warne said the couple had planned to tell their children today that their relationship was not working, and that the split was permanent.

The couple had rekindled their romance after their divorce in 2005, with the family relocating to the UK in March.

Simone described herself as being absolutely devastated by Shane's old tricks. (With Inputs from ANI)
