This year’s Lakme Fashion week has not performed financially well and also treated some designers with step mother attitude. The organizers of the show have cribbed a section of designers.

In the beginning entire reputed designer Wendell Rodricks was apparently replaced on the mentor’s list without being informed which has initiated the show with a controversial note.

Many designers also claimed that they have not been sent invitations to attend the show. There were no big names present during the show, like Narendra Kumar, Vikram Phadnis, Neeta Lulla etc.

One of the designer Rahul Mishra who didn’t participate this year in the show said that now days so many fashion shows are organized and it is quite unfashionable being seen at every fashion show so he attended only the Japanese show where he was part of the process.

Designers participating n the show admits that profit generation is nearly negligible.
