London, Oct 2 : Russell Brand was pleasantly surprised when Katy Perry gratified him with a photo of her boobs in reply to a love poem he had sent to her.

The 34-year-old Brand expressed his feelings in rhyme following the pair’s reported snog at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

He also sent a note with the poem requesting Perry: "Please send me a poem back."

Brand was stunned when the 24-year-old lass replied with a snap of her bust with the words "poem" written across it.

He then lost no time in asking Perry out for a romantic holiday in Thailand.

The Sun quoted a source as saying: "Russell has fancied Katy for ages.

"When they were both in New York for the music awards Russell finally got his chance to work his charm on her.

"Katy knows his bad boy reputation but could not resist - especially when Russell sent a love poem with a note attached saying, ''Please send me a poem back.''

"Russell killed himself laughing when Katy sent a photo of her boobs with the word ''poem'' scrawled across them.

"The next minute Russell picked up the phone and invited her to Thailand for a secret getaway."

The pair is now back and Perry just can’t stop raving about her flame.

She described her Thai vacation as "magical" on her Twitter page.

The Californian added: "Been schooled on MORRISSEY, OSCAR WILDE & PETER SELLERS."

Brand is an avowed fan of the three.

An insider said: "Despite his reputation, Katy thinks Russell is so charming she just wants to give things a go with him.

"She thinks he is hilarious and incredibly sexy." (ANI)
