London, February 23 : Kate Winslet confessed to having taken acceptance speech pointers from her five-year-old son.

The actress experienced a change of Academy Awards luck when she won the gold statuette in Los Angeles, after having been nominated five times previously.

The `Titanic' star also won gongs at Golden Globes and BAFTA Award ceremony for her performance as a concentration camp guard in `The Reader'.

The actress revealed that she had sought advice from her little Joe on what she should say if she bagged a trophy.

"He said I should say `Thank you to everyone for helping me,'" the Sun quoted her as saying.

"That broke my heart," she added. (ANI)
