Karthikeyan confident about a good show at A1 GP in Netherlands

New Delhi, Sept 25 : India’s first and only Formula One (F1) driver Narain Karthikeyan today expressed confidence of doing well at the A1 GP, the World Cup of motorsports, to be held in the Netherlands on September 30.

Karthikeyan, who will race a brand new blue liveried car this season and spearhead Team India's challenge, said the team has realistic chances of winning a couple of races.

"We ended up quickest out of the 22 nations competing and we set a new record. So, obviously the things are going pretty well at the moment, and we can carry the momentum to Zandvoort on the 30th of September," said Karthikeyan.

After his stint with Jordan, Karthikeyan joined Williams as a test driver. Last year, he did five races for India in A1 GP, including a fourth place finish at brands hatch, England, but the ace driver made it clear that in case he has to choose between A1 GP and F1, it has to be Formula One.

The first race in Zandvoort circuit will see established nations in Motorsports such as Great Britain, France, Italy and New Zealand compete with other nations. (With inputs from ANI)
