Karl-Heinz Feldkamp resigns as coach of Turkish side Galatasaray
Ankara - Karl-Heinz Feldkamp has resigned as coach of Turkish top club Galatasaray, according to a statement posted on the Istanbul club's website on Saturday.
The statement cited "differences of opinion" between the German coach and management of the club as the reason for Feldkamp's resignation.
With just six matches left in the Turkish league, Galatasaray are in second position, two points behind city rivals Fenerbahce.
Feldkamp, 73, was forced to miss a number of matches in recent months for health reasons.
The club announced that a team of assistant coaches would take charge for the team's weekend clash against Ankara side Genclerbirligi and that a replacement for the rest of the season would be announced shortly. (dpa)
