As per the new law, it requires a police check of the immigration status of the people suspected to stay in US illegally. The lead singer of 'Rage against the machine' group Mr. Zach de la Rocha has said that large number of people are facing the same problem due to this law and this may take this country to a low standard.

A group of US police chief had a meeting with the Attorney General of US Eric Holder and had warned this law could increase the number of crimes in the country.
