Kamani family to get boohoo.com listedKamani family, which is based in the city of Manchester, has said that it is planning to get its Boohoo. com listed in order to take advantage of the strong IPO market.

The family, which owns about 82 per cent of boohoo. com, are looking to benefit from the strong demand for online retail stocks and is planning to list its online fashion brand. Experts have said that the floatation will value the entire company at £500 million.

The Kamani family had migrated to Manchester after fleeing war-tore Kenya in the 1960s and Abdullah Kamani started multi-million pound textile group in the north-west of England. The group included brands including Starsign and Jogo. His son, Mahmud Kamani established boohoo. com in 2006 with business partner Carol Kane.

Boohoo. comproduces its own fashion from the company's base in Manchester and competes with the likes of Asos. Boohoo. com has filled the documents for the issue and the company is being advised by Zeus Capital. The family has not announced as to how many shares will be sold by the company.

Boohoo. com is looking to raise money for expanding its business in the country.
