London, Jan 23 : Jonathan Ross has retuned to the BBC with words "So, where were we..?" and a humble apology over his involvement in the `Sachsgate' row.

Ross made the long-awaited comeback following a three-month suspension, reports the Mirror.

He was suspended along with comedian Russell Brand for messages they left on the answerphone of 78-year-old Andrew Sachs, famed for playing bumbling Spanish waiter Manuel in the hit 1970s television comedy series Fawlty Towers.

Ross said he was sorry for his part in the scandal, adding: "I do apologise for any hurt or distress."

He said he felt privileged to work for the BBC and would in future be more `aware of the responsibility that goes with it'.

Ross, 47, was given a rousing reception by the studio audience. (ANI)
