Actor Jim Carrey is not happy with California’s new tougher mandatory vaccination law. He has criticized Gov. Jerry Brown for signing a bill into a law that eliminates religious or personal beliefs to withdraw children from vaccinations.

He has started an anti-vaccination rant on Twitter. Hours after Brown signed Senate Bill 277 into law Carrey tweeted about the law in which he stated that Brown has said yes to a law that will poison more children with mercury and aluminum in the form of compulsory vaccines.

When it comes to science, there is evidence that vaccines significantly help children against many infectious disease and dangerous disease. But it seems that Carrey is not convinced with the explanation.

He stated that authorities concerned have affirmed that mercury in fish dangerous, but forcing children to have mercury in the form of vaccine is no risk. Carry affirmed that he is not against the vaccination.

The rule has come four months after a measles outbreak took place in the Golden State, including an outbreak at Disneyland. As per the California Department of Public Health, hardly 90% of kindergarten students across the state had received all the needed immunizations in the 2014-15 school year.

The new law does provide some evidence, but the ones who are not vaccinated will not be allowed to public schools and day cares. Not everyone liked Carrey’s tweet and asked him to stick to acting. To which, he gave justifications and clarifications.
