Jet Airways posts net profit of Rs.9.69 crore
Mumbai, May 19 : Jet Airways Thursday reported a stand- alone net profit of Rs. 9.69 crore for fiscal year 2010-11, as compared to a net loss of Rs. 467.64 crore for fiscal 2009-10.
"Company has posted a net profit of Rs 96.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2011, as compared to net loss of Rs. 4,676.40 million for the year ended March 31, 2010," the company said in a regulatory filing.
According to the company, its total income in the last fiscal increased by 21.29 percent at Rs. 12,951.04 crore as against Rs. 10,622.92 crore in 2009-10.
The airline, including its budget carrier subsidiary JetLite, reported a net loss for the fiscal 2010-11 at Rs. 85.84 crore from a net loss of Rs. 420.18 crore in 2009-10.
Meanwhile, the total income of the group increased by 20.33 percent at Rs. 14,726.98 crore from Rs. 12,238.06 crore in 2009-10.
The scrip of the company on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) fell by 0.40 percent at Rs. 458.15 at the close of the day's trading.(IANS)
