Jennifer Garner seeks permanent restraining order against alleged stalker
New York, Nov 20 : Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner is seeking a permanent restraining order against her alleged stalker.
The court papers filed by the ‘Juno’ star revealed her terror over letters received from her stalker Steven Burky.
"Mr. Burky''s repeated efforts to contact me, his delusional and paranoid letters, his appearance at my private residence, and his recent claims that I will be ''persecuted'' in a manner that may result in my death are all extremely frightening," she wrote in court papers.
"I now fear not only for my own personal safety, but also for the safety and well being of those I love and care most about, including my husband and my daughter,’” she added.
The 36-year-old actress, who’s expecting a child with actor Ben Affleck, said that she fears for the safety of her second child once born, reports the New York Daily News.
Garner got a temporary restraining order earlier this month.
A judge ordered Burky to stay 100 yards from Garner, Affleck and their daughter.
Burky, who’s currently in a psych ward, has been stalking Garner, since 2002 when he posed as a college student and then a punk rocker to meet her at a college in Ohio and record store in Los Angeles.
He used to send her creepy love letters, knocked on the door of her L. A. home and travelled to her film sets.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for today. (ANI)
