Washington, Aug 9 : James Marsden has been roped in to play the lead role in HBO's dark drama pilot ' Westworld'.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the project, which is inspired by Michael Crichton's 1973 movie, is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin.

The 'X-Men' star will be playing the role of Teddy Flood, who is a mysterious new arrival to a small frontier town. (ANI)
