Its fine if Congress wishes to move unaccompanied in civic poll: Pawar
Ever since Congress city MP Suresh Kalmadi landed in the CWG mess, regional leaders and workers of the party have been resting low and now they are looking for a chance to exceed the NCP, which, on the other hand, has been sharply gathering force, led by Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
At a function in Manchar on Saturday, Pawar stated the Congress-NCP bond was working better at the Centre and it was satisfactory if the Congress takes a different course at the regional point.
At the meeting, corporators, local Congress leaders, and MLAs are considered to have inquired Chavan to battle the civic opinion polls without an affiliation with NCP. Day afterwards Congressmen plead with CM, NCP subject matter big and broad.
A day after city Congress leaders demanded, in a meeting with Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, that the political party contest next year's civic polls on its own, NCP chief and Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar stated his party might have no problems with that.
On Friday, the Chief Minister had a confidential meeting with Congress office-bearers.
