According to a survey conducted by Nasscom, the IT sector witnessed 28% growth in the year 2007-08.

Apart from this, the software and services exports segment saw the revenue amount of $40.4 billion in 2007-08, whereas the domestic segment recorded revenue of $11.6 billion during the same year.

Approximately 21-24% growth in the revenue is expected in the overall software and services by the year 2008-09.  Moreover, the industry is likely to achieve the target of $75 billion within the next two tears.
 
The report presented by Nasscom shows the inclination of the ITeS towards tier –II and III cities, skill being an important consideration.
