IT, FMCG and Telecom scrips may attract buying today
Indian market had a choppy day, traded weak in the earlier hours but attracted buying in the final hour of the session and closed positive. SENSEX closed at 20932, up 80 points and Nifty at 6301, up 28 points from the previous close. CNX MIDCAP index was up 0.6% and BSE SMALLCAP index was up 0.9%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 769 against declines of 534 on the NSE. Top Nifty gainers were POWER GRID, HUL and SAIL, HDFCBANK, TCS, STER and BHARTIARTL while losers included SBI, IDFC, MARUTI ,RELINFRA, TATAPOWER and IDFC. The FIIs were the net buyers with investments to the tune of Rs 474.53cr (prov cash market fig.)
In the next session NIFTY may trade in the range 6240-6325 if sustained above 6325 NIFTY may test 6370 while breaching of
240 level may attract heavy selling pressure. BANKING STOCKS may still face selling pressure at higher levels IT, FMCG, ELECOM and FERTILIZER may attract buying.
Investors who have a horizon of 6-12 months can buy the following companies. The companies have potential to give higher eturns than index over a long term.
Tata DOCOMO today launched its 3G services on mobile phones in Rajasthan telecom circle. "Our 3G services will enable icher communication through video calls and SMSes will add the advantage of adding mobility to the power of the internet, and will enable millions to start accessing the true power of the internet," said Ajit Chaturvedi , Hub-Head for Tata Docomo's perations in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday reintroduced recent measures to provide liquidity comfort to banks, arising out of the rictional liquidity pressure, it said in a statement. It said it will conduct the second liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) auctions etween November 9 and December 16 on a daily basis at 4:15 pm and banks can avail additional funds of up to 1 per cent f deposits under the LAF on these days.
