Investors sign 113 MoUs worth Rs 670cr on first day of Global Investors Meet
Investors signed 113 MoUs worth Rs 670 crore with the Madhya Pradesh government on the on the first day of the third Global Investors Meet (GIM) in Indore, while 107 Expressions of Interest worth Rs 1128 crore were also signed between the state government and investors, the state's Industry, Commerce & IT Minister Kailash Vijayvergiya said.
On Sunday, Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh government announced the Madhya Pradesh Global Foundation dedicated to NRI entrepreneurs to encourage investment in the state.
The newly announced Foundation will have offices in twenty countries, and a website has been created to facilitate the investment process.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the third Global Investors Meet, Vijayvergiya said, "A website is also created for business networking under the Foundation so that corporates having roots in the state and willing to invest in industry could join in."
Vijayvergiya promised that the government would provide investors with all needed assistance and required infrastructure for establishing new ventures.
The meet attracted more than 800 business delegates, including more than 100 from foreign countries.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that the newly operationalised Crystal Information Technology Park would generate as many as one lakh jobs over the next two-and-a-half years.
