Intel CEO reportedly said that Microsoft is releasing Windows 8 OS before it is fully ready

Intel CEO reportedly said that Microsoft is releasing Windows 8 OS before it is fully readyAccording to a September 25-dated Bloomberg report, Intel CEO Paul Otellini revealed during a recent company event in Taiwan that Microsoft is releasing its new Windows 8 operating system before it is fully ready.

The report, citing the information shared by an unidentified person who was in attendance at the Intel meeting, said that Otellini told the Intel employees that there is still need for some improvements in the tablets-optimized Windows 8 OS, which Microsoft is scheduled to launch on October 26.

As per the Bloomberg source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, Otellini told the employees that Microsoft is seemingly quite keen on bringing Windows 8 aboard on computers in October, so as to allow the manufacturers to compete with Apple's devices during the crucial holiday shopping season.

With chip giant Intel being Microsoft's closest partner, Otellini told the employees that Microsoft's decision to launch Windows 8 OS before it is fully baked is probably the right move because it will always be possible for Microsoft to improve the OS after it has shipped.

Nonetheless, in an evident response to Otellini's reported remarks at the Intel meeting, a Microsoft spokesperson said in an official statement which will be sent to all reporters: "With over 16 million active preview participants, Windows 8 is the most tested, reviewed and ready operating system in Microsoft's history. We're looking forward to making Windows 8 available to the world on October 26th."
