India’s Revolt Motors introduces budget-friendly RV400 BRZ electric motorcycle
Indian electric two-wheeler maker Revolt Motors recently took wraps off a budget-friendly electric motorcycle, called the RV400 BRZ, marking a pivotal moment in the country’s evolving EV landscape. Positioned as a game-changer in terms of affordability, the RV400 BRZ comes with a modest price tag of Rs. 137,950 (approx. US$1,650). Signaling a paradigm shift in the accessibility of electric motorcycles, this electrifying two-wheeler is not just a mobility solution; rather, it is a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to democratizing green mobility.
Setting the stage for a thrilling act in India's electric mobility saga, the RV400 BRZ is at the forefront. Drawing from the technological expertise of its premium counterparts in the RV400 series, this motorcycle boasts a formidable 3.24-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack and a robust 5-kilowatt (kW) electric motor. In terms of power, it comparable to a 125cc scooter. According to the manufacturer’s claims, it has a top speed of 85 kilometers per hour (54 miles per hour), while its remarkable single-charge range of 150 kilometers (94 miles) in Eco mode signifies a noteworthy stride in practicality.

Its fully digital instrument cluster offers an all-inclusive display of crucial information, including speed, ride mode, and battery life. The manufacturer has assured a reasonable charge time of 4.5 hours from zero to 100 per cent, and an impressive three hours from zero to 75 per cent, addressing the practical concerns of EV aficionados.
