India defeats PakistanNew Delhi, Nov 26: India beat Pakistan by six wickets on the final day of the first Test at the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium here today.

Chasing a target of 203 runs, India reached the target in 61.1 overs losing four wickets. Sachin Tendulkar scored his half-century and remained unbeaten on 55 runs.

The hosts now lead the three-match series 1-0.

Earlier, at stumps on fourth day, India was at 171 for the loss of three wickets.

The pair of Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar added 78 runs between them for the fourth wicket with Ganguly playing on 48, while Tendulkar was unbeaten with 32 runs. (ANI)
