IBM wins a deal from Andhra Pradesh Grameen Vikas BankIBM, leading worldwide IT consulting firm has announced that it has secured a deal from the Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB).

As per official sources, the deal has been bagged in order to increase the rural bank's information infrastructure across 530 branches.

APGVB, sponsored by the State Bank of India, will utilize IBM's hardware platform to operate its mission vital core banking application for data protection at all hours.

While addressing press conference, a senior official from IBM stated, “IBM is happy to engage with AP Grameen Vikas Bank in its vision of transforming lives of rural citizens in the country.”

SS Computer Shoppe, IBM's business partner, produced a flexible solution for the regional countryside bank that ensures increased performance as well as better availability than competitive servers.
