Hyundai Launches All New Verna In Indian Market
With the intention to attract new customers, South Korean auto maker Hyundai Motors has launched the updated version of its highly acclaimed “Verna” with four variants in the Indian market.
The new Verna, which comes with innovative and enhanced interiors as well as exteriors, will carry the price tag ranging from Rs 637,700 to Rs 865,350 (ex-showroom).
Mr. H S Lheem, Managing Director (MD) HMIL, said, “The Verna has proved itself well in the Indian car market. The new Verna also offers variant with automatic transmission which is first for this segment. This new feature will further appeal and attract the customers. The new Verna once again has offered a competitive style, performance, safety and driving dynamics in India’s mid-size car segment.”
The newly launched Verna range consists of two petrol variants, 1.6 VTVT and 1.6 SX VTVT, and two diesel variants, 1.5 CRDi VGT and 1.5 SX CRDi VGT.
Among these, Hyundai Verna VGT SX is the Automatic variant.
The company claims that the 1.6 liter petrol version produces 103.2PS of power at 5,500rpm and 14.9kgm of torque at 3,000rpm, while the 1.5 liter diesel edition develops 110PS of power at 4,000rpm and 24kgm of torque at 1,900rpm to 2,750rpm.
With the same engine and components, the new Verna range offers a variety of new features.
The exterior comes with enhanced sleek styling, modish new radiator grille, electrically adjustable ORVM, new chrome insert in waistline moulding, rear chrome garnish and a new full wheel cover.
The interiors feature best, stylish new fabrics and improved quality and finish. The audio system is upgraded and ABS is added to the safety features.
