London  - Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard will miss up to six months after undergoing knee surgery, according to the BBC.

Bullard, who joined Hull for 5 million pounds in the transfer window in January, has played just 37 minutes for his new club.

The operation was a success, according to renowned surgeon Richard Steadman, but the 30-year-old Bullard will miss the rest of the season and perhaps the start of the
2009-2010 campaign. (dpa)
