Hughes Communications India Ltd., the largest satellite service operator in India, has won orders to deploy 1800 satellite broadband terminals for leading banks – Bank of India (BOI), Canara Bank and Yes Bank to run their core banking solutions.

Under the arrangement, Hughes, a subsidiary of Hughes Communications will deploy turnkey networks which encompass system integration, satellite bandwidth and network management to connect 1200 offsite ATMs & branches for Canara Bank, 500 branches and ATMS for the Bank of India and another 100 bank branches for Yes bank.

With the implementation of Hughes core banking solutions, all lenders will be able to provide their consumers with the benefits of anywhere banking.
