Hubble Telescope captures Death Throes of Dying Star

NASA has lately posted an image taken by its Hubble telescope that shows the death throes of a dying star. In the photo, the star can be seen radiating wisps of blue and orange light, which as per the European Space Agency is because a cloud of gas leaving from the star has left its core open.

The gas cloud is powered by ultraviolet light and has been radiating different colors. Experts affirmed that similar colors could be seen in the Ring Nebula. Generally, planetary nebulae last for around 10,000 years.

As per the experts, the process has already taken tens of thousands of years. Experts said that the images will allow people to look at the nebula's center. Rather than just being optical, the latest image combines both infrared and optical light.

Due to the presence of infrared light, more detailed structure can be seen present underneath. Altogether, a complete different landscape can be seen. When one would see the image, he would see the bright star, which is known as Herschel 36.

The researchers stated that it is responsible for the sculpting the surrounding cloud, taking away material and influencing its shape. The star is also responsible for being the main source of ionizing radiation for this particular part of the Lagoon Nebula.

The central part of the Lagoon Nebula has two main structures of gas and dust and is seen in the middle third of the image.
