HP's TouchPad tablet might be released on June 22 According to latest reports, HP's TouchPad tablet will be released on June 22. HP had only said that the tablet will be launched in ‘"late June" this year but since then has not released any details about the launch.

Synnex, an IT equipment company, kicked started the rumor as it listed WebOS-based tablet with a 6/22 date. Meanwhile, Amazon's TouchPad product page does not feature any release data information.

TouchPad will feature a 9.7-inch display with 1024x768 resolution and will be powered by a dual-core 1.2Ghz Snapdragon processor. The device will also feature Beats Audio technology, stereo speakers, a 1.3MP front-side camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

HP has also offered a gyro, accelerometer, and compass as well as full Flash support, unlike its rival iPad. Other features include virtual keypad with a full number row, QuickOffice, Google Docs support, Dropbox, Box. net, VPN and wireless printing support.

The basic 16GB model will be priced for $500 and the 32GB will come for $600.
