Hewlett Packard (HP) has launched its new ‘Pavilion dv3000 Entertainment Notebook PC’ in India, which comes packed with fantastic multimedia features, powerful computing capabilities and convenient security.

Weighing just 4.92 pounds, the freshly launched notebook mainly targets the mobile experts, and provides them the mobility and connectivity that they want anytime, anywhere.

Housed in a stylish black shell, the HP’s initial entertainment notebook PC features 13.3-inch wide-screen display based on BrightView technology, and its full-sized keyboard permits users to work effortlessly for long hours

Diptesh Ghosh, country manager, consumer laptops, Hewlett-Packard Company stated, “The HP Pavilion dv3000 has been built to perform under the conditions faced by business professionals who are constantly on the move. For the frequent travellers, we have also packed several of our entertainment features into the notebook for their leisure purposes.”

“As a result of HP’s extensive research across three continents focusing on user preferences, we factored in a full-size keyboard for comfort and a first ever 13.3-inch BrightView screen, which were the two must-haves for the road warrior,” Mr. Ghosh added.

The laptop computer will be equipped with a HP 3D DriveGuard, which protects the hard drive while on the go. The built-in HP Pavilion Webcam makes it easier for users to chat online with friends, family and colleagues across continents.

Besides, it also features Intel’s 802.11a/b/g wireless module with optional 802.11 draft-n and Bluetooth connectivity, an Etnernet LAN port, a 56k modem, an influential NVidia GeForce Go 8400GM graphics card with 256 MB memory, multi-media card, SDIO, Memory stick, Memory stick pro and xD picture card.

The other features of Pavilion dv3000 Entertainment PC are a remote control, fingerprint reader, HDMI output with HDCP support, VGA output, eSATA/USB combo port, two standard USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a 5-in-1 media card reader, Quickplay for Windows Version 2.3, Muvee Autoproducer, Sonic Digital Media Plus 7.0, HP Games by Oberon Media, HP Photosmart Premier, Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security software.

The new Pavilion dv3000 is available across India for Rs. 53,990 excluding taxes.
