Hong Kong markets rise 2.5 per cent in early trading
Hong Kong - Hong Kong shares were on course for a second-consecutive day of gains Wednesday after rising 2.5 per cent in early trading.
The blue-chip Hang Seng Index was up by 321.76 points at 13,200.36 after 40 minutes of trading.
Hong Kong stocks rose 3 per cent Tuesday after jumps on the US and European markets because of the US government's bail-out of the banking giant Citigroup Inc. (dpa)
