Hoffenheim could become long-term rival, says Bayern's Klinsmann
Munich - Bayern Munich coach Juergen Klinsmann believes promoted Hoffenheim could establish themselves as a long-term rival to the German champions and also make their mark on European football.
Hoffenheim could be the sort of club Bayer Leverkusen have come over the years, Klinsmann told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa in an interview.
Bundesliga leaders Hoffenheim visit second-placed Bayern Munich on Friday evening in a top-of-the-table game. Hoffenheim have a three-point lead over Klinsmann's side.
Klinsmann also predicted the worldwide financial crisis would have repercussions for football.
He forecast a "new definition of the market concerning transfers and wages." (dpa)
