The Hinduja Group owned engineering services provider firm, Defiance Tech Pvt. Ltd has decided to expand its business portfolio by entering in digital manufacturing and enterprise solutions. V. Sumantran, Chairman, Defiance Tech, and Executive Vice-Chairman, Hinduja Automotive Ltd., said that the company has been a leading technology solution provider in automotive industry and it is capable enough to prove its excellence in digital manufacturing services.

He added: "The other dimension of growth we are seeking is to serve customers beyond Automotive to other industry verticals including Aerospace and Defense." Mr. Sumantran said the company is looking at its business expansion beyond engineering domain, appointing former Satyam's executive, Subu D. Subramanian as its Chief Executive Officer.

He further added: "Through Defiance, we have established ourselves as a significant global player in Automotive Testing and Engineering Services.

We now intend to expand the scope of operations of Defiance beyond engineering to technology-enabled manufacturing and enterprise solutions."

The company, with total headcount of around 1,000, has currently 120 customers, including around 25 from India. It would form a global sales force in the U. S., Europe and other places to increase its interaction with customers, for the purpose of product testing, engineering and manufacturing services.
