Hillary Clinton may find it difficult to be herself during Presidential Campaign, say Experts

Presidential campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton could be launched soon and before the launch of campaign, President Barack Obama has some simple advice for her. He said Hillary should be herself, and if she does so, she is going to do great.

The new advice by the President sounds easy enough, but a number of politicians have found it tricky to just be themselves when it comes about presidential campaign. The former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had spent a good share of her 2008 primary campaign in trying to discover the correct formula for revealing her true self. For about one and half decade, Democrat Al Gore tried to connect with voters in a natural way.

While talking about what can be hard about being yourself during presidential campaign, Dan Schnur, director of the University of Southern California's political institute, said that it is always tricky to be yourself. It is not just tricky for candidates but for most of the people.

Schnur, who also worked on four Republican presidential campaigns, further said, "A campaign is like the world's longest job interview, and most of us like to think that we're being our natural selves when we interview for a new job, its only human nature to self-edit ourselves and try to make best possible impression".

According to experts, it's very difficult for Clinton to be herself. She will have to face a number of challenges to win voters' confidence. In her case, she will be constantly being measured against her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Schnur said that it doesn't mean that Hillary Clinton is not a good politician, but there is no doubt that she is not as good as her husband was. Bill Clinton was an extraordinary natural political talent, as per Schnur.
