HCL Technologies sees huge emerging opportunity in rebid market in 2015

HCL Technologies sees huge emerging opportunity in rebid market in 2015HCL Technologies will continue to spread out its non-discretionary services in the rebid market as it sees a big emerging opportunity there in 2015, the company's newly appointed president & CEO Anant Gupta said.

In a recent interview, Mr. Gupta said that the company would keep on looking at its operating model, instead of looking at a quarterly perfection in utilization, as it continued to see growth in the markets.

Speaking on the topic, he added, "We see a huge emerging opportunity in the rebid market in 2015, so we will continue to expand our non-discretionary services there."

When asked about challenges in his new role, Gupta said the management needed to be at the front position to drive & deliver value, and on the employee front, the company would have to ensure more answerability in skill-sets by making employees more relevant.

He also said that HCL Technologies will keep going on with the `employee first' policy, while also concentrating on customer trust as well as transparency.

Gupta has replaced Vineet Nayyar, who will continue to be the vice chairman of the company. For its second quarter, HCL Technologies reported more-than-expected 68.5 per cent increase in net profit year-on-year, while rupee revenues jumped 3 per cent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 6,274 crore.
