‘Hari Puttar’ Makers Hold Its Release

The producers of children comedy film ‘Hari Puttar - A Comedy of Terrors’, have ‘Hari Puttar’ Makers Hold Its Release continuously been facing the troubles.

Though the date to release the film has been fixed at Sep 19, it will depend upon the upcoming hearing of the case lodged by Hollywood studio Warner Bros claiming violation of their copyright of the 'Harry Potter' franchise.

Warner Bros registered the copyright suit against Mirchi Movies, the makers of Hari Puttar.

Mr. Munish Purii, COO, Mirchi Movies, stated that the next hearing will be on Sep 2 at the Delhi High Court and the final decision is expected on the same day.

The last hearing, planned at the Bombay High Court on Aug 25, was cancelled.

When asked what action they decided if the final verdict went against them, Mr. Purii told, “Let’s wait and watch. We will see what we can do.”

Mr. Munish also said that he’s confident of a positive decision as the title of the film was registered way back in the year 2005.

He also said that their title has no resemblance to the well-known ‘Harry Potter’ series.

While talking about the movie, he said, “It is a 90 minute fun-filled film with four and a half minutes of animation where the two children take the audience for a joy ride.”

“It is a film about two children and the power of presence of mind and how the kids create a lot of hilarious sequences,” he added.

The main part of the film is its ‘music’ and the songs have been framed considering the overall situations in the story, he also said.

“I think the music will be quite outstanding as we have tried to create fun filled music keeping in mind the storyline.”

In addition to top Bollywood singers including Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Aadesh Shrivastav, Shaan and Neha Bhasin, new comers like Sameer of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Aishwarya from Voice of India Chote Ustaad fame have also sung for the film.

The music has been composed by Aadesh Shrivastav and Guru Sharma.

Directed by Rajesh Bajaj and Lucky Kohli, Hari Puttar features Zain Khan, Swini Khara, Jackie Shroff, Saurabh Shukla, Vijay Raaz and Sarika.
