Google marks 200th anniversary of Grimm’s Fairy Tales with doodleInternet giant, Google has marked the 200th anniversary of Grimm's Fairy Tales with an impressive doodle on its home page today.

The doodle narrates the popular story of Little Red Riding Hood over 22 slides that celebrate the anniversary of the fairy tales. Grimm's Fairy Tales are also known as Children's and Household Tales and is a collection of German folk tales that were first published in 1812 by the Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.

The collection includes some of the most popular fairy tales like Snow White, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Rapunzel, The Frog Prince among others. The new doodle is visible to users from across the world. When a user clicks on the doodle it shows the search engine it show slides from the popular story.

Google has revealed its first doodle in 1998 and since them the Google team has designed more than 300 doodles for its US website and another 700 worldwide to mark various occasions. Google is the only major brand that allows its logo to be modified on various occasions and the company believes that this allows users to connect to the company.
