Genpact, a BPO (business process outsourcing) company in India, and NIIT, Asia's No. 1 trainer and leading Global Talent Development Corporation have announced the launch of a joint venture ‘NIIT Institute of Process Excellence’.

According to the company, the institute is designed for aspiring students to build sustainable careers in the growing business and technology services industry. Further, the new venture aims to address the demand for skilled workers in the same industry by providing training programs in relevant areas.

Initially, the institute will offer training programs in areas such as business processes, language skills, and business communication. The course includes 3 months of classroom training followed by 1 month internship in an ITES company.

The JV intends to train between 6,000 to 10,000 persons during the first year.

In coming months, the JV plans to add more offerings in other areas including finance and accounting, banking, insurance and supply chain.

In the first year of operations, training facilities will come up in Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune.

Both companies expect the new institute to have over 250 learning centers by 2012.
