Mumbai: Here’s a good news for Indian fans. Master-blaster batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been declared fit for the upcoming four test match series against Australia.

BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said in a statement: “A report submitted by Paul Close (National Cricket Academy physio) states that the player has recovered fully from his elbow injury. Tendulkar will join the camp (at Bangalore from September 30) prior to the series.”

India's Saina Nehwal displayed superb form to stun Lin Zhu of China in a hard fought match at Changzhou in China on Friday. The 18 year old defeated Zhu 21-16, 21-23, 21-18.

In what seems to be a desperate attempt to win back the glorious hockey days and to put India back on top charts, a five member ad- hoc committee decided upon to bring in a Foreign Coach. Indian Hockey has been plunging into controversy again and again, with its unbelievable exit from Olympics, shameful act by Jyoti Kumaran taking bribe and forceful exile of KPS Gill and recently MP Kaushik’s role with the men’s team, Indian Hockey doesn’t want to take any more chances. On temporary basis however Harender Singh was asked to take charge of the team.

ICC president agrees to hear the case of officials of ICL. Indian Cricket League is owned by Indian businessman, Subhash Chandra. Subhash Chandra would meet the president of ICC, David Morgan in London, most probably in the first week of October.  

David Morgan would report back to the board of directors of ICC to decide about future course of action. Mr. Morgan has informed all members of ICC about the next meeting to be held in Dubai. It is learnt that ICL is starting domestic and international twenty20 tournaments on October 10.

On 11th October in Mumbai, the doping case concerning Mohammad Asif will be heard.

During the month of May, when the 25 year old Pakistani fast bowler of Pakistan was due to play for the Delhi Daredevils during the inaugural Indian Premier League competition, he was tested positive for nandorlone.  

While the test conducted for the second time at a World Anti-doping Agency-accredited laboratory in Switzerland, were the same again 

Shane Watson, is banking on the IPL series success and his experience of cricket in India, as a positive point in his Selection for Test cricket. He scored a marvelous 472 runs and took 17 wickets for the Rajasthan Royals. Shane Watson, has not played for the last 3 years due to various injuries. He states that he has learnt from his mistakes and knows how to deal with his problems. He added that he use to over train himself assuming it was necessary for the game, but has become smarter now and is physically fit to play.
