Madrid - In 1788, Spanish master Francisco de Goya depicted a popular celebration in honour of Madrid's patron saint in La Pradera de San Isidro (The Meadow of Saint Isidro).
The painting, now at the Prado art museum, shows in the background a view across the Manzanares river of a wide green slope topped by the church of San Francisco el Grande and other white buildings.
The leafy area located between the church and Las Vistillas gardens still forms part of the Spanish capital.

London, April 21: A Hinduism expert has urged tattoo artists all over the world to get elementary training in Sanskrit and its culture before making tattoos based on the ancient language.
Rajan Zed, president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, is insisting celebrities who carry tattoos in the ancient language to go “beyond the fashion statement and indulge in serious study of rich philosophical thought”, reports the Sun.
As per the Friday clarifications by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the baby-swapping allegations leveled against the civic-run Oshiwara Maternity Home hold no ground. Meanwhile, the police plans to take the couple for a DNA test to establish the truth.
The BMC said that the fruit vendor Mohammed Sartaj was falsely accusing the maternity home for swapping his one-day old infant, and added that Sartaj's wife Reshma Bano had delivered a baby girl at 6.10 p. m. on Wednesday, and not a boy, as claimed by Sartaj.
