Cheshire grandmum to divorce Osama's son, fears being murdered

London, Sept.19 : A British grandmother, who wed Osama bin Laden’s youngest son, Omar, has decided to divorce him after just five months of marriage, as she fears both will be murdered.

Jane Felix-Browne, 51, who wed Omar, 26, in April, told The Sun: “We are both in fear of our lives.People are opposed to my marriage because I am British. I wasn’t prepared to see the man I love die. That is why we have decided to end our marriage.”

Pakistan Radio feigns ignorance that India has a Sikh Prime Minister

Amritsar, Sep 19 : Ignoring the fact that India has a Sikh Prime Minister in Dr Manmohan Singh, who is also a Congress Member of Parliament, Pakistan Radio’s ‘Punjabi Darbar’ programme has been broadcasting programmes which accuse India, especially the Congress Party, of adopting a discriminating attitude towards the Sikh community.

Antony calls for strengthening coast guard

New Delhi, Sept 19 : Defence Minister A K Antony today underlined the need to strengthen and consolidate the overall capabilities of the Coast Guard to meet the growing challenges to the country’s maritime zones.

Addressing the 26th Coast Guard Commanders’ Conference here, he said there is an urgent need to keep India’s vast maritime zones under ‘round the clock surveillance’ by employing surface and air efforts.

A drive to make Amritsar a “Drugs and Tobacco” free city

Amritsar, Sept. 19 : In an effort to make Amritsar free from drugs and tobacco, the Khalsa Action Committee (KAC) will undertake an Anti-Tobacco and an Anti-Drug march on Thursday.

“We want to declare a full-scale war on these enemies of society and humanity. It is our earnest desire that the holy city of Amritsar should be rid of drugs and tobacco related products,” said Kawarnpal Singh, a spokesperson of the KAC.
