London, Oct 4 : A UK council has taken pole dancing out of the strip clubs, by offering classes of the dance form to children as young as 11.

Cardiff Council has announced that it will be offering pole dancing classes to kids as part of a council-run initiative.

The council further said that the workshops had “captured people’s imaginations” and “proved popular with families” as a great way to keep fit.

An advertisement for the dance form, overwhelmingly linked to the sex industry, states: “Try pole dancing, women and under-16s.”

London, Oct 4 : The inquest into Princess Diana’s death has heard that there was an apparent discrepancy between what Lord Stevens said to the parents of Henri Paul when he met them in Paris on 8th November 2006 and what was said in the Operation Paget report.

The inquest jury looked at the statement wherein Lord Stevens told Paul's grieving parents that their son had not been drinking heavily on the night of the crash, as well as the contradicting official Operation Paget report into the tragedy which concluded Diana and Dodi died because Paul was drunk and speeding.

Nasik, Oct 4 : Onion traders in Nasik went on a two-day strike on Thursday over the government's decision to suspend onion exports for 15 days.

Lucknow, Oct 4 : Lucknow Police have seized an antique idol of Lord Buddha worth 1.2 million dollars in the international market.

Police also arrested Om Prakash Singh, who was carrying the antique idol.

The value of the idol was ascertained after officials got it examined by antique experts.

"We got the idol examined by an antique specialist and experts in the market and found it to be an antique. The idol weighs around 4.75 kilograms and it is valued at approximately Rs 408 million," said Kalyan Singh Jemar, Circle Officer.

London, Oct 4 : Heartrending images of Princess Diana smiling for the last time were screened for the jury hearing at the inquest into her death.

The previously unreleased footage was captured by security cameras in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Paris on Aug. 30, 1997, just hours before Diana and boyfriend Dodi Fayed commenced their final journey.

In one of the video sequences, Diana is shown escorted across the marble floor of the Ritz lobby by Dodi after arriving at the rear entrance of the hotel in the Rue Cambon.
