Wellington, Dec 10 : ‘Closeness’ and ‘intimacy’ are the most valuable things in the sex lives of men, according to a global study.

The survey involved more than 1,000 committed couples aged in mid-life or older, from the US, Spain, Japan, Germany and Brazil, reports the NZPA.

They were asked about the importance of their relationship, sexual behaviour and also the role sex played independently in the health and life satisfaction of the men and women.

Men returned stereotype-busting results on the question of what they derived from sex.

"Partnered sexual activity is important to men and women across all countries," the study said.

Tibetans celebrate 19th anniversary of Dalai Lama''s peace prize

Hundreds of Tibetan monks, nuns and students including some foreigners assembled in the main Buddhist premises at McLeodganj to celebrate the occasion.

Prime Minister of Tibetan government-in-exile Samdong Rimpoche also attended the celebrations.

Thubten Samphel, spokesperson of Tibetan government-in-exile said that conferment of the Nobel peace prize on Dalai Lama showed the international support for the cause of Tibetan freedom.

Bingle, who made a flying three-hour visit to Melbourne last night to attend the opening of the Vodafone store at Crown, was given the 300,000 dollar mean machine as an early Christmas present by her cricketing beau, the Daily Telegraph reported.

"I only got it the other day and have only driven it once. I am not the best driver. It is kind of difficult to drive. It is a heavy car. It has got a big front and lots of power. I am used to driving a mini, so it is one extreme to the other, I guess," Bingle said.

Swann to debut in first Test against India
