Rules changed to import Indian films: Pak Censor Board

Lahore, Dec. 17 : The Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) in Pakistan has told the Lahore High Court (LHC) that its rules were changed to allow the import of Indian films into the country.

Replying to two petitions that challenged the exhibition of Indian films in the country, the secretary of the CBFC submitted that certain films containing Indian artists/crew were imported from countries other than India and allowed for exhibition in the country in accordance with the law.

The Daily Times quoted him as saying that earlier under Rule 10(2)(b)(iii) of the Censorship of Film Rules 1980, any foreign film irrespective of its country of import, containing Indian/Pakistani artistes was not allowed for exhibition.

Japan arrests Vietnam Airlines co-pilot for smuggling

Vietnam Airlines LogoHanoi - A Vietnam Airlines co-pilot was arrested Wednesday in Tokyo on suspicion of fencing stolen Japanese goods in Vietnam, an airline official said.

Dang Xuan Hop, 33, was arrested by Japanese police after his flight from Hanoi landed at Tokyo's Narita International Airport. Police accuse him of being part of a ring that smuggled items stolen by a Vietnamese gang in Japan to customers in Vietnam.

"We deeply regret this case because it has badly affected Vietnam Airlines' image and confidence," said airline spokesman Trinh Ngoc Thanh. "We have decided to suspend him from flying."

Lily Allen admits her talk show was a ‘flop’

The singer revealed that although the show was badly panned by the critics, it helped her make a lot of money.

"It was a period when I decided not to be a singer or go on tour," the Sun quoted Allen, as saying.

"I made a lot of money out of it. Thank you, licence-payers - that was very nice of you. You think Russell Brand is your problem. Actually, it's me," Allen added.

Hollywood legend Marilyn MonroeWashington, Dec 17 : Late Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe's last photographs have fetched a whopping 146,500 dollars at an auction.

The `You Were Meant For Me' actress posed for 36 shots for Vogue magazine in 1962, the same year she died.

All 36 photographs were auctioned at Christie's in New York, reports Contactmusic.

These photographs are the last professional images taken of the iconic actress, and were ran in the magazine as a memorial after her death later that same year.

Russell Crowe to play Bill Clinton in new biopic?

While Crowe has reportedly been chosen to portray Bill Clinton, Michael Sheen - who played Blair in 2006''s The Queen - is the obvious choice to portray Tony Blair.
