The couple's 16-year-old son, Jeff, who began suffering from seizures at the age of two, was found unconscious in a bathroom in the family's holiday home in the Bahamas.

The youngster had later been taken to Rand Memorial Hospital, Freeport, where he was pronounced dead on January 2, and subsequent autopsy revealed `seizure' as the cause of his death, reports Sky News.

Malaysian police detain 13 people in drug raids

Malaysia FlagKuala Lumpur - Malaysian police have detained 13 people believed to be part of an international drug syndicate, a news report said Wednesday.

A Singaporean and Filipina woman, a Pakistani national, seven African men and three locals were all detained Monday at several locations including the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, said Zul Hasnan Najib Baharuddin, director of the Federal Narcotics Department.

The Singaporean national was about to board a flight to Hainan, China, when airport police discovered heroin concealed in her bag, he was quoted as saying by the official Bernama news agency.

India briefs more envoys on Mumbai attacks

A group of diplomats from various countries including the United States of America, Britain, Croatia and Switzerland met External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

The envoys of Sri Lanka, Turkey and the Arab States, who were briefed on Tuesday, have condemned the terror attacks, which shook the Mumbai in November 2008.

Govt. plans to reduce petrol, diesel prices

petrol, diesel pricesNew Delhi, Jan 7 : The Government on Wednesday said that it might reduce the petrol and diesel prices in the next two to three weeks.

"We will try to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel in the next 2-3 weeks," Petroleum Minister Murli Deora told media persons at the AICC Headquarters here.

The government also said it may cut the price of cooking gas.

"There was loss on that count to the government," he said. However, he hinted at a reduction of Rs 20-25 per cylinder.
