ICC hands over Asif’s Dubai detention report to PCB

International Cricket CouncilKarachi, Jan. 15 : There seems to be an unending list of troubles for Pakistani pacer Mohammad Asif, as just a day after the Pakistani senators demanded a life ban on the bowler, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has received a copy of the report released by the Dubai authorities regarding Asif's detention there over possession of opium.

The report was sent by the International Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat, along with an enquiry about the PCB's future course of action on the issue.

George Takei to lend voice for Star Wars’ animated TV spin-off

George TakeiWashington, Jan 15 : Star Trek veteran George Takei is set to lend his voice for the animated series of the Star Wars series'' TV spin-off `The Clone Wars'.

The 71-year-old actor will voice the role of a nuclear warlord Lok Durd in an upcoming episode of the sci-fi series.

"I was cast as a grotesquely obese guy in Disney''s Mulan, and now again in Clone Wars," Contactmusic quoted him as telling TV Guide magazine.

"I just love the way the new (George) Lucas animation technology makes my fat jiggle," he added.

Military might alone can not tackle terrorism: Musharraf

Musharraf, while addressing the annual dinner of World Affairs Council here said that Pakistan is itself a victim of terrorism, and it is taking all measures to counter the menace.

Serbia preparing lawsuit against Ukraine, official says

Belgrade - Serbia plans to raise the question of the responsibility both of Ukraine and Russia for the crippling gas crisis, the head of national supplier Srbijagas, Dusan Bajatovic, said Thursday.

"We will ask for explanations from the Russian Jugorosgas and Gazprom, as well as the Ukrainian Naftogaz and if we find any of them unacceptable, we will raise the question of responsibility," Bajatovic told radio B92.

Jugorosgas is a majority Russian joint venture with Serbian partners with the monopoly right to supply Russian gas.

A lawsuit against Ukraine was already being prepared in Serbia, Bajatovic said. He said there was no "legal and economic ground" for proceedings against Russia.
