Baghdad - A suicide bomber blew himself up on Friday, killing a policeman and wounding two tribal chief guards in the western Iraqi province of Anbar, according to a police source.

The attack targeted the house of Sheikh Talib al-Hassnawi al- Issawi, head of Albu-Eissa tribe, west of Falluja city, the source told the Voices of Iraq news agency. The two injured Iraqis were guards of al-Issawi.

Bali Island, Indonesia - South-East Asian nations must take stronger measures to curb sexual exploitation of children in the tourism industry, delegates at an international conference on child sex tourism said Friday.

A statement issued at the end of the conference on Indonesia's resort island of Bali warned that the current global financial crisis would increase children's vulnerability to child sex tourism.

Seoul - The fate of two US journalists detained by North Korea was still unclear on Friday, a US envoy said.

"We are still trying to get a sense of exactly what the situation is and what happened," said US Ambassador Kathleen Stephens after a meeting with diplomats in Seoul.

The US government and US diplomats were trying to secure the release of the two women, "who do seem to be held in some way," Stephens said. "So we will hope for the best."

Addis Ababa/Antananarivo - Madagascar's new leader was in a corner Friday after the African Union suspended the country over his "coup" and the Southern African Development Community said it was planning sanctions.

The chairman of the AU Peace and Security Council, Bruno Nongoma Zidouemba, said that Rajoelina's army-backed arrival to power through the streets constituted a "civilian and military coup".
