Washington, Apr 9 : A porn flick has been receiving stiff resistance from critics, who have said that universities should not be paying for the screening of such smut.

But the film''s supporters have fought back saying that it does not fit the legal definition of obscenity, and that schools have a First Amendment right to show it.

The movie ''Pirates II: Stagnetti''s Revenge'' produced by Digital Playground has been airing on campuses is unrated, although Digital Playground has produced an R-rated version.

Colleges that have screened the film are the University of California-Davis, UCLA, Carnegie-Mellon, the University of Maryland and Northwestern University.

Washington, Apr 9 : John Travolta, 55, and Kelly Preston, 46, had been keeping a low profile since the tragic death of their son Jett on January 2 in the Bahamas, but the couple returned to the spotlight when they celebrated their daughter Ella Bleu's 9th birthday on April 3.

As per a source close to the family, the two celebrated the day "just as they would any other year".

Engineering and construction firm Larsen & Toubro has informed that it has bagged various orders worth Rs 605 crore in the last quarter of financial year 2009.

Providing details regarding the latest orders bagged, the company said, that it has received Rs 165 crore order from the Andhra Pradesh Government for supplying potable water, which has to be completed in 15 months.

Further, the company has received Rs 133 crore order from the Delhi Jal Board for designing and laying pipelines. The project is scheduled to be completed in 21 months.

Kuala Lumpur, Apr 9 : The Malaysian Indian Congress is taking action to ensure a permanent place for the Gelang Patah Tamil school in Nusajaya, the newly developed area in Johor.

The school was originally called Hukla Estate Tamil School, but due to the rapid development in the area, it was moved to its temporary location and renamed, Tamil Nesan quoted Johor MIC chief K. S. Balakrishnan, as saying.

London, Apr 9 : British socialite Peaches Geldof's lewd behavior in a club reportedly forced cops to question her.

Apparently Geldof's fun night got interrupted when she decided to throw her shoe in the crowd just to have a laugh.

Her shoe sadly hit a woman, whose boyfriend confronted Geldof.

"Peaches was letting her hair down and having a giggle when she thought it would be hilarious to send her shoe flying through the crowd .But her little game backfired when it hit a woman," the Mirror quoted an onlooker as saying.

Washington, Apr 9 : In a bid to cut all the loose threads in the Sarah Palin clothing saga during US Presidential elections, the Republican National Committee filed an amended report late last month, which shows in detail exactly which disbursements were clothing purchases for the Alaska Governor and her family.

According to the report, the committee paid about 23,000 dollars for clothing in the three weeks before and after Election Day.
