London, April 18 : An entire mafia clan will once again be terrorising an Italian city, thanks to the laziness of a judge in signing off their sentences.

According to reports, 13 members of the notorious Strisciuglio clan will be set free on Wednesday.

Nine more members of the mafia will be freed next month.

Under Italian law, judges are required to officially confirm sentences or the defendants can get them struck off.

It was in January that the thugs were jailed, following a show trial of 161 mob members.

All of them were serving up to 14 years for killings, intimidation, violence, and theft.

However, the felons are all set to walk free and terrorise the streets of Bari once again.

Islamabad, Apr. 18 : The Taliban in the Bajaur region of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) has asked the tribal elders, who had opposed their activities, to seek pardon and give undertakings that they would speak against Taliban's act in future.

"Those elders who approach Taliban will be granted clemency. And those who do not approach, they will not be pardoned," Taliban's Bajaur chapter spokesman Maulvi Omar said.

New Delhi, Apr 18 : Congress leader Jagdish Tytler was on Saturday granted bail by a Delhi court in a case of making alleged insulting remarks against the lawyer of 1984 anti-Sikh riots victims, Harvinder Singh Phoolka in television news programmes.

He has also been excused from appearing personally till his plea for permanent exemption from court appearances is cleared by the court.

Tytler has been granted bail on furnishing of a personal and surety bond of Rs 50,000 each.

While in a Los Angeles court on Friday, Redmond revealed that his ailing mother Fawcett is down to just 86 pounds. He made the announcement when he asked for leniency in sentencing for a violation of his parole stemming from drug charges, according to RadarOnline. com.

He told the judge, "I want to be there for my mom. My mom only weighs 86 pounds right now and I''m sorry your honor."

London, Apr 18 : A British boffin has invented a revolutionary sat nav that directs guide dogs for blind people.

The 500-pound gizmo, which will be launched this summer, clips on to the dog's harness and vibrates on the left or right side to tell the handler which direction to go in.

The blind user announces their destination into a sat nav microphone. The vibrating receiver then indicates how to "steer" the dog.
