`The Circus' raced to that milestone after just 19 days on sale.

It missed out on being the fastest million-seller ever, though. Oasis' `Be Here Now' passed the mark after just 11 days on shop shelves in 1997.

And Take That's `Beautiful World' album of 2006 is the third fastest.

According to the New York Daily News, the singer will fly to Malawi to pick up the girl, Mercy James, whose grandparents are unable to care for her.
