Ferguson urges Man U stars to restore mean streak for Premiere League glory

Sir Alex FergusonLondon, Oct 19: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has urged his players at Old Trafford to restore their mean streak, which had helped them win three consecutive Premier League titles.

After a 2-1 win against Bolton Wanderers, Ferguson said that team's performance was not impressive enough, as there was some shoddy defending, which needed to be tackled to get the team back in form.

"In past years we have gone on runs of games without losing goals which have been important in terms of winning a championship. We have to get back to doing that. The goal we conceded was a slack one, a soft header from the back post," The Independent quoted Ferguson, as saying.

Ferguson has been struggling with the team recently, and was furious at the defence after Bolton Wanderers midfielder Matt Taylor''s header scored the lone goal for Wanderers.

The goal was seventh that Man U has conceded at home in five games, which last season was achieved after 14 matches. (ANI)
