Ferguson brands Real Madrid ‘a mob’

Manchester United star Cristiano RonaldoLondon, Dec. 19 : Sir Alex Ferguson is furious with the Spanish giants for claiming that there is a secret agreement for Manchester United to sell them Cristiano Ronaldo next summer.

"You don't think we'd get into a contract with that mob, do you? Jesus Christ. I wouldn't sell them a virus. So that's a `No'. There is no agreement between the clubs," The Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying.

Real tried to but the Portuguese wing wizard away from Old Trafford in the summer, with the player also stating his desire to leave.

Ferguson, speaking after his side's 5-3 Club World Cup semi-final win over Gamba Osaka, added: "It will happen again in January. But we have to ignore it. We can't keep worrying about them."

"We need to concentrate on our own publicity and our own form. We can get annoyed. But there's no point. We know their game. It won't affect us," he added.

Club captain Gary Neville said: "There should be a level of respect between clubs. But there is nothing we can do." (ANI)
