Emco wins order worth Rs 126 crore
Thane-headquartered Emco Limited has informed that the company has bagged a prestigious order worth Rs 126 crore from Delhi Transco Ltd for establishment of 400/220/66kV new substation at Mundka on turnkey basis. The contract is the largest order received till date by the company for establishment of one single substation.
Emco Limited engages in the manufacture and sale of transformers and single phase electronic energy meters in India. It operates in three divisions: Transformer, Meter, and Project. The company also exports its products to the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Norway, Trinidad and Tobago, Azerbaijan, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Mauritius, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The company has reported 53% increase in net profit at Rs 15.11 crore for the quarter to December 2007. Its sales increased by 49% to Rs 243.36 crore.
